ABOUT THE EVENT / 活动简介

The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, a strong advocate of CSR over the past years, is proud to announce the launch of the 2019 CSR Awards.

The successful 2018 5th CSR Awards brought International and Chinese Business or organization Leaders, CSR experts, as well as representatives of Government all over China to Nanjing. Nine winners were selected and received trophies for their outstanding, innovative and world-class products, services, projects and programs implemented in the past or present.

The CSR Awards aim to acknowledge CSR successes, raise sustainability awareness, and share the CSR experiences with organizations looking to promote and exercise corporate responsibility in China.

This year there will be four categories and six awards given to MNCs, SMEs and NGOs who have shown excellence in influencing innovation.

SMEs Award
Excellence in Responsible Innovation – award to SMEs that have shown excellence in designing innovative projects to tackle with challenges in doing business in China.

Winner: Inclusion Factory


NGOs/Social Enterprise Award
Excellence in Social Innovation Partnership – award to NGOs/social enterprises that have shown excellence in developing innovative partnership and sustainable projects.

Winner: Shanghai Guofeng Charity Foundation


MNCs Award

Excellence in Responsible Employee Development – award to companies that have shown excellence in promoting and enhancing CSR mindset and skills among employees.

Winner: Schneider Electric 

Excellence in Environment Conservation – award to companies that have shown excellence in investing long-term environment and financial sustainability.

Winner: Epiroc China

Leadership in CSR & Sustainable Growth – This award will be presented to a MNC for its overall CSR and sustainability achievements in China, at a company level. Leadership in CSR, social innovation and sustainable growth will be recognized with a long-term view as well as considering at least the past 3 years of achievements.

All the entries will be assessed in a two-stage process by a jury representing a wide-variety of businesses, social organizations, and government representatives.

所有参赛作品将由本次大赛评审委员会进行评定。评审委员会将由9名企业社会责任领域内的专家组成,评委会将审核申请并最终提名获奖企业。

  • Open for submissions: 1st July 2019
  • Close for submissions: 24th  September 2019
  • Awards Ceremony: 20th  November 2019

The submission is OPEN now. Corporations, SMEs, business associations, charities, schools and development zones are eligible and encouraged to apply. The deadline for submissions is September 30th 2019 [Deadline Extended]

Student Competition / 学生竞赛

The Student Competition aims to raise awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among young people. We accept applications from all students studying in China. Winners will be awarded with prizes and will join our CSR Awards ceremony.

Candidates are invited to use the theme below, to outline their thoughts, and exercise their creative and analytical skills to see how we should preserve our planet.

This year’s competition theme is “How can we preserve Life on Land ?”

Prizes will be given in two categories:

  • CSR Creative Video

Students should submit a video entry that demonstrates understanding of the theme and present possible solutions. The finalists will be chosen for their passion, spirit of innovation and effective communication skills. We encourage students to share their ideas on the topic in front of the camera. These can be individual or group presentations

Format: AVI and MP4 videos will be accepted

Maximum Length: 3 Minutes

Deadline: 15th October, 2019

Announcement of Winners: shortlisted students will be notified one week before the event in November 2019.

Each school can submit maximum 5 videos.

 

  • CSR Art Awards

Artwork can be in any medium. For example, students may choose to use photography, painting, drawing, digital design, sculpture, textiles or collage.

Maximum Size: A3 format

Format: High Resolution JPG picture and original artwork should be submitted to Nanjing EUCCC Office

Deadline: 15th October, 2019

Announcement of Winners: shortlisted students will be notified one week before the event in November 2019.

Note: Each school can submit maximum of 15 artworks

 

Both categories will be separated into different age groups.
